BEFORE, DURING AND AFTER
What to Expect
Your First Visit
Your first session starts with a quick conversation about what you’re feeling, areas of tension or discomfort, and what you’d like to get out of the session. Whether you’re coming in for pain relief, recovery, stress reduction, or general wellness, the session is tailored to your needs and comfort level.
The goal is simple: help you feel comfortable, supported, and confident throughout the experience.
During Your Session
Everybody is different, so every session is approached differently. Pressure can always be adjusted, and communication is encouraged throughout the session to make sure you’re comfortable.
Some clients prefer to talk during their session, while others prefer quiet relaxation—either is completely fine. The session is your time.
What Should I Wear?
Wear whatever feels comfortable coming in. You’ll be given privacy to get situated before the session begins, and only the area being worked on will ever be uncovered during treatment.
If you have questions or preferences, they’re always welcome and respected.
After Your Session
Some clients leave feeling immediately relaxed and refreshed, while others notice gradual relief over the next day or two as the body decompresses and recovers.
Drinking water, stretching lightly, and giving your body time to rest can help you get the most out of your session.
Frequently Asked Questions
How often should I get a massage?
It depends on your goals. For general stress relief and maintenance, once a month is a common starting point. If you are managing chronic tension, recovering from an injury, or training hard, every one to two weeks is often more useful. We will talk through what makes sense for your body during your session.
What is the difference between deep tissue and Swedish massage?
Swedish massage uses lighter, flowing strokes aimed at relaxation and stress relief. Deep tissue uses firmer, more targeted pressure to reach deeper muscle layers, which suits chronic tension, stubborn knots, and injury recovery. Many clients start with Swedish and move to deep tissue as their needs change.
Do I need an appointment, or do you accept walk-ins?
Cassatone is by appointment only. Appointments are reserved with a credit card on file, and after you book online we will call for a short phone screening to make sure we are the right fit for what you need before your first session.
What is your cancellation policy?
Please reschedule or cancel at least 48 hours in advance. Changes requested less than 48 hours before your appointment are charged 50% of the service cost, and no-shows are charged the full service cost. If we are unable to reach you to complete the booking process, the appointment will be cancelled.
A Comfortable, Personalized Experience
